The benefits of healthy eating are nowadays being given more publicity than ever before and there are good reasons why this is so. There are numerous health conditions associated with a poor diet and there is a cost to the overall economy as people suffer from health problems such as heart disease and hypertension. There are more and more campaigns to try to get people to lead a more healthy way of living and still it is also easier than ever to rely on fast, convenient food that is very bad for our health. It is likely that many people assume it will take a lot of effort to eat a healthy diet or that they have to make a large scale change to how they live. In reality, though, simply making some modest changes can positively impact everyday eating habits.
One way to address this to start seeing some results is to understand that you do not have to alter everything at once or that you need to altogether do away with certain foods from your diet. If you wish to commit to a wholesale change, that is OK but the main thing at first is to try to ensure that you are making more healthy eating choices. Eventually, you will find that you actually prefer to ingest healthy foods after you have eaten that way for some time. Like many other habits, change happens over a period of time and as soon as a new way of eating becomes part of who you are, you will not feel the need to return to your old diet.
As you can see, it’s easy to begin incorporating healthy eating into your daily lifestyle.
We hope you got insight from reading it, now let’s go back to dough for chappatis/ indian flat bread recipe. To make dough for chappatis/ indian flat bread you need 4 ingredients and 11 steps. Here is how you achieve it.
The ingredients needed to cook Dough for Chappatis/ Indian flat bread:
- Prepare Fists full of wheat flour depending on no. Of Chappatis. (Example: 10 fists full = 10/11 Chappatis)
- Use oil
- Provide Water to knead the dough (I used 2 cups for 15 fists full of flour)
- Provide salt
Instructions to make Dough for Chappatis/ Indian flat bread:
- Add the amount of wheat flour you want (Here I am making 15-16 chappatis, so I’m taking 15 fists full of wheat flour)
- Add a pinch of salt
- Add water little by little and mix till the flour is wet and is lumpy
- Keep adding water little by little and knead it into a round soft ball. Don’t add too much water, the dough will become sticky and soggy
- When fully kneaded into a ball, add a teaspoon of cooking oil on the side and mix it into the dough
- Now keep kneading the dough. The oil will give it a smooth texture. (Note: the more you knead it, the more smooth and soft it’ll become)
- You know your dough is perfect when you give it a light tap, and the print of your fingers is left on it.
- Store it in an airtight container and stick it into the fridge. It remains fresh for 2 days.
- Before starting to make chappatis, remove it 10 minutes in advance and keep it out of the fridge
- The more you practice, the more you’ll be better and quicker at kneading the dough.
