  1. Provide fresh garlic, minced
  2. Prepare yellow onion, medium diced
  3. Prepare yams, peeled/medium diced
  4. Get fresh basil, chopped
  5. Use half and half cream

  1. Heat a large soup pot over medium-high and sauté onions and garlic until soft in olive oil with salt and pepper.
